Suzuki Kazunari

After the successful opening of Eataly Tokyo in 2007, Suzuki-san collaborated closely with Andrea to launch the first Mercato Metropolitano in 2015 during the Expo in Milan. This pioneering project marked a significant milestone in the development of urban food markets, showcasing the integration of culinary excellence and community engagement.

Since then, Suzuki-san has continued his collaboration with Andrea, contributing his expertise and innovative ideas to further enhance the Mercato Metropolitano concept. As a professor at the Politecnico of Milan, he brings a unique blend of rigour and creativity to his work, inspiring the next generation of designers and thinkers in the field.

With extensive experience in industrial design in both Europe and Japan, Suzuki-san has developed a keen understanding of how design can influence user experience and operational efficiency. His work goes beyond traditional design; he is deeply involved in urban design initiatives, focusing on how public spaces can be transformed to foster community, accessibility, and sustainability. Through this multifaceted approach, he aims to create environments that not only serve practical functions but also enrich the lives of those who interact with them.
